Simu Liu has high praise for the upcoming Marvel movie Avengers: Doomsday, where he is set to reprise his role as Shang-Chi.
In an interview with Screen Rant, Liu was asked to describe the movie in three words. He used the three-word phrase: “dream come true.”
According to Deadline, Liu will star alongside Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Anthony Mackie (Captain America), Vanessa Kirby (Susan Storm), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) and Florence Pugh (Yelena), among many others.
Liu told Collider it was surreal to learn he would be included in the movie.
“It’s pretty much what you think,” he said. “I don’t want to put words out that will be turned into their own sound bites, but I think it was just an incredibly exciting feeling to know that you were coming back and then also to get to work with so many incredible people whose body of work I either grew up watching or I greatly, greatly admire. Getting to see them all put on tights and spandex and to play in this beautiful sandbox felt like a love letter to superhero movies in general.”
