Everything is turning up golden for KPop Demon Hunters.
The animated pop culture sensation netted three nominations this morning from the Golden Globes.
Variety reports its up for consideration in the category of best animated film, cinematic and box office achievement and original song for Golden.
Performed by Huntr/x featuring EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, EJAE becomes the first Korean American to be nominated for a Globe in original song.
The Hollywood Reporter says the trio is set to perform on Dick Clark’s 2026 New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. This follows live appearances during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Saturday Night Live and the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Its nomination in the category of box office achievement is perhaps the biggest surprise. While it dominated the Netflix streaming numbers, it only appeared twice during limited weekend releases in theatres.
Both were for sing-a-longs. The latest occurred Halloween weekend.
Registration is closed for Common Ground: Building Together conference and gala award banquet in San Francisco on January 24. A shoutout to our planning committee: Jane Chin, Frank Mah, Jeannie Young, Akemi Tamanaha, Nathan Soohoo, Mark Young, Dave Liu, and Yiming Fu.
